What to Expect
New Patients
We make the process simple, supportive and transparent — so you can walk in with confidence and walk out with a plan.
A thorough first visit — because your care starts with truly listening
We know that visiting a new chiropractor can feel like an unfamiliar step. That’s why we take the time to truly listen and understand your needs and goals, and tailor care to your specific situation.
When you walk in, our front desk team will greet you by name and make you feel comfortable and welcomed. You’ll have a short new patient form to complete, then you’ll meet your chiropractor. Please allow about one hour for your initial visit.
1
Comprehensive history & discussion
We take the time to understand your health history, lifestyle, and what you’re hoping to achieve — so we can build care around your life, not just your symptoms.
2
Thorough examination
A spinal, postural, and — where appropriate — neurological and orthopaedic assessment to build a complete picture of your condition.
3
Diagnosis & tailored treatment plan
We explain our findings clearly, answer your questions, and outline the treatment options best suited to your situation. No surprises — full transparency on fees, frequency, and expected outcomes.
4
First treatment — for most patients, we begin on the day
Where appropriate, we’ll start your treatment at the first appointment to get you on the path to recovery straight away.
Our aim is to help you move beyond short-term pain relief and towards sustainable, long-term health. We always discuss fees, treatment frequency, and expected outcomes upfront — so you know exactly where you stand.

Common Questions
Anything you'd like to know first?
Do I need a referral to see a chiropractor?
No referral is needed. You can book directly with us. However, if your GP has provided a referral or care plan, please bring it along as it may assist with Medicare rebates.
Does health insurance cover chiropractic care?
Most major health funds provide rebates for chiropractic consultations under extras cover. We have HICAPS on-site, so you can claim your rebate on the spot and only pay the gap.
Is chiropractic care suitable for children and babies?
Yes. Dr Stacey Saunders (Chiropractor) has extensive experience treating patients of all ages, including newborns, children, and teenagers. Techniques are always adapted to be gentle and appropriate for each patient’s age and condition.
Can I see a chiropractor during pregnancy?
Absolutely. Pregnancy care is one of our areas of special interest. Chiropractic treatment can safely and effectively relieve many pregnancy-related discomforts, and our practitioners use techniques specifically suited to each stage of pregnancy.
I have a sporting injury — can a chiropractor help?
Yes. We regularly treat athletes and active patients with conditions including back and neck pain, shoulder and rotator cuff issues, hip and ITB problems, sciatica, and overuse injuries. Chiropractic care addresses not just the site of pain but the underlying movement and spinal factors that often contribute to it. We’ll work with your training schedule and be upfront if we feel another specialist should be involved.
How many visits will I need?
This varies depending on your condition, goals, and how your body responds to care. At your first appointment, your chiropractor will discuss expected outcomes and a recommended frequency. We never prescribe unnecessary visits — your progress guides your care plan.
